EPIC – Entrepreneurship ,Passion and Innovation Committee
“If not now, when? If not you, who?” At EPIC, this isn’t just a question, it’s a call to build.
EPIC is the entrepreneurship cell of IIM Visakhapatnam, working closely with FIELD, the institute’s incubation hub, to nurture bold ideas and turn them into ventures. It is a space where individuals are encouraged to think beyond conventional paths, to become job creators rather than job seekers, and to build solutions that make both ideas and capital work for them.
At its core, EPIC fosters a culture of innovation, execution, and ownership.
At the forefront of this vision is EpiFunds—India’s first student-led angel network, a matter of pride for both EPIC and IIM Visakhapatnam as the first institution to pioneer such an initiative. Incubated at FIELD, the incubation hub of IIM Visakhapatnam, EpiFunds is a brainchild of EPIC alumni and is today managed by the current EPIC team, EPIC alumni, and a seasoned board of faculty from IIM Visakhapatnam.
EpiFunds is open to startups and founders across India, not just limited to students, creating a broader and more inclusive investment ecosystem. It represents a new approach to early-stage investing, one that identifies and rigorously screens promising startups, and connects them with the right investors through a structured and credible process.
EPIC’s ecosystem is further strengthened by its flagship initiatives. EPICENTER, one of the largest entrepreneurship events in the Andhra Pradesh ecosystem, brings together students, founders, and investors under one roof. EPISODES is a curated speaker series that highlights a single transformative voice, leaders who inspire change and action. EpiVault, an all-India startup pitching competition, draws participation from students across the country, fostering innovation, competition, and collaboration at scale.
Behind every one of these initiatives is a team that builds, leads, and delivers together. As they say- “The strength of the team is each individual. The strength of each individual is the team.”
At EPIC, that team is driven by a senior leadership of 2 Senior Partners and 6 Partners, supported by a committed junior cohort, and strengthened by individuals who take ownership and step forward to build.
It is a space for those who carry the spirit to create, to lead, and to turn ideas into reality.
