CapEx is a database of projects that aim to create new capacities in India. These projects are often in search of financiers and project consultants and implementation agencies. They are similarly in search of plant and machinery suppliers and whole stream of suppliers that help create new factories, offices or infrastructure.
The CapEx service delivers this unique database over a web-browser and allows you to look up the details of individual projects. As these are updated continuously, CapEx automatically becomes an important internal monitor for business strategy.

Economic Outlook provides CMIE’s view on where the Indian economy stands and where it is likely headed. This view is derived from a careful and continuous monitoring of all new data releases.

Time-series analysis and an integrated view of the Indian economy form the core of CMIE’s forecasts. Detailed and comprehensive statistical forecasts are presented in Economic Outlook every quarter.

Every data release is analysed at two levels:

Tidings: A quick descriptive presentation of new facts.
Analysis: An analytical and contextual intepretation of the new data release. Opinions and essays that describe the implications of the new/latest developments.
Three Monthly Reviews - Macro-economic Performance, Sectoral Performance and Financial Market Performance summarise CMIE’s views on the current state of the Indian economy and its future.

The core strength of Economic Outlook is the underlying database. The service provides full access to this database. Time series of over half a million indicators are provided for multiple frequencies and in the form of several derivations. The full set of indicators including all frequencies and derivations add up to over 2.9 million time-series. All these are presented in intelligently laid-out tabulations.

Tabulations are supported by a graphing tool. The data can be easily downloaded into spreadsheets or as txt files.

Economic Outlook provides scanned images of the original source documents used in building the time-series, a calendar of expected data releases, an alerts system and a useful indicator search and download facility, an excel add-in and a daily newsletter.

ProwessIQ is a query-able database of around 50,000 Indian companies.

The Prowess database includes all companies traded on the National Stock Exchange and the Bombay Stock Exchange, thousands of unlisted public limited companies and hundreds of private limited companies.

The database is built from Annual Reports, quarterly financial statements, Stock Exchange feeds and other reliable sources.

There are over 3,500 data-fields per company in the Prowess database. The database is standardised to enable inter-company and temporal comparisons. ProwessIQ provides time-series data from 1989.

Industry Outlook provides a well-balanced presentation of data, analysis and forecasts on a large number of industries.It presents the following kinds of information:

The service draws upon data available from government sources, industry and trade associations, commodity markets, firm-level databases and project-level information. It weaves these disparate sources into meaningful and well-organised presentations of the current and prospective trends in Indian industries.

Consumer Pyramidsdx is a delivery of the Consumer Pyramids Household Survey. It provides anonymized record-level data at the level of individual households and members of households.

The service delivers data collected from an all-India representative sample of over 170,000 households. This is a panel sample that is surveyed repeatedly over time.

Consumer Pyramids Household Survey is a continuous survey. Data is collected in Waves. There are three Waves every year. Each Wave is completed over a four month period.

The service provides access, for the period of a valid subscription, to data from the first Wave that was conducted during January-April 2016.

Data is delivered as soon as a survey is completed. There are deliveries every four months and every month as well.
